Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Education Agency staff are dedicated to the preparation of students for lifelong success through rigorous, quality academic instruction, career training and character development according to each student’s gifts and talents.

Activities concerned with establishing policy and administering educational programs for the Tribal Education Agency (TEA). Administrative staff serves the education community as the conduit for the leadership of the Board of Education and the Consortium for Tribal Innovation and Entrepreneurship (C-TIE). Staff focuses on continuous improvement of the education code & standard operating procedures, staff and community relations, as well as contract negotiations, long-range organizational planning, grant writing, budgeting, fundraising, and overall program management. Alignment and coordination of program goals and services with the Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal departments and C-TIE partner organizations is a key function of Administration.

Local Education Agency Administration

Activities encompassing initiatives to increase the capacity of local education agencies to serve Native American students in culturally and linguistically responsive educational environments through the coordination of policy, staff training, and the implementation of Tribal Education Agency sponsored supplemental educational programs and cultural activities.

Instructional Support Services

Activities associated with assisting the instructional staff with the content and process of providing learning experiences for students. This includes activities primarily for assisting instructional staff in planning, developing, and evaluating the process of providing learning experiences for students, such as curriculum development, techniques of instruction, child development and understanding, staff training, preparing and utilizing special curriculum materials, and understanding and appreciating the various techniques which stimulate and motivate students.

Student Support Services

Activities associated with assessing and improving the well-being of students and to supplement the teaching process. This cradle to career methodology encompasses family engagement, student attendance, social work services, substance abuse, guidance, health, psychology, speech pathology, and direct support to students and their family/community enabling full participation in programs, facilitating understanding of educational options, and providing guidance for pursuing and achieving future goals.

Student Instruction

Student Instruction includes a variety of activities and curriculum offerings that directly tie in with the interaction between families, teachers, and students. Instructional staff provides age-appropriate, Place Based and Culturally Responsive Learning modules primarily to students in a classroom setting, however staff also distributes curriculum to youth outdoors, for special community events, and extra-curricular education-based events. Instruction provided is delivered through several mediums, including: in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous.
